INDEED, A HISTORIC MOMENT FOR STROKE CARE IN ETHIOPIA 🇪🇹

Here are some memories when our foundation in collaboration with Ethiopia Stroke Initiative officiate the graduation of the first Ethiopian medical doctor trained in both Stroke & Vascular Neurology and Neuroendovascular Surgery, a pioneering physician dedicated to reducing the burden of stroke in our nation.

ESF also graduated its 3rd cohort of fellows in Stroke & Vascular Neurology, bringing the total number of stroke specialists in the country to 10.

This milestone was celebrated in the presence of leaders from partner institutions, the ESF Board, distinguished guests, stroke survivors, and the entire ESF family.

Specialized stroke training for healthcare professionals remains a core pillar of ESF’s mission, and this is only the beginning. Many more milestones are yet to come.

WHICH SCHOOL SHOULD WE VISIT NEXT? 🏫

One of our key approaches to advancing stroke awareness is reaching students and their families directly through our National School Stroke Awareness Project.

Each week, our medical team visits schools to engage students in person and at the same time, we extend this impact to parents through concise, easy-to-read materials that share essential information about stroke prevention and early recognition.

This is more than a school visit. It is a step toward building informed families and healthier communities. We are expanding, and we would love your inputs.
