The Ethiopia Stroke Foundation recently hosted a dedicated medical team from UC Davis, USA, for a transformative one-week clinical exchange. Working alongside local healthcare professionals, the visiting team performed complex open neurosurgeries,including several historic clinical firsts for Ethiopia at St. Peter’s Specialized Hospital, Jimma University, and Zewditu Memorial Hospital. To ensure a lasting impact, the delegation also donated vital medical equipment to these public facilities, as well as to regional hospitals in Gondar and Bahir Dar. This inspiring collaboration was rounded out by hands-on mentoring and knowledge-sharing sessions with local neurosurgical residents and staff, reinforcing a shared commitment to elevating patient care across the nation.
